It's been a few months since the last comment, but Wufoo now allows you to insert forms via javascript. Not so "1.0" anymore. Again the ease of use outweighs any issues with javascript turned off. Who turns their javascript off anyways....

Nice article. Never thought of this.

While I wouldn't complain about an iFrame being web 1.0, I do agree that using iFrames make me nervous. Too many browsers with too many stupid bugs.

But, I think I totally agree that the benefit and ease of use far outweigh any downsides.

It's not the wufoo is web 1.0 (old fashioned) - it's that iFrames are.

They break too easily, etc.

But, the benefit here might be great.

Nice article.

Am tweeting it.

Never mind - I manually extended the iframe vertically, which fixes the problem.

The only problem I've run into is that if submitters don't fill out required fields, and attempt to submit, the "There was a problem with your submission. Errors have been highlighted below." message, along with all of the individual "This field is required. Please enter a value." messages, make the form longer than the original iframe, making the bottom of the form (with the all-important 'submit' button) disappear from view. Any ideas?

Great tips, can we add wufoo code with WordPress build-in HTML editor, instead with post meta (custom field)?

Hi guys--just found your blog. Nice!

Regarding this tutorial: awesome. I can't believe I didn't think of this before. I'm a case example of setting up multiple client sites with WordPress and cforms, and having to wade through "redesigning" the form to match the client site.

Nothing against cforms, like you said it's a nice plug-in, but the drop-dead ease-of-use of Wufoo is great.

The whole form-in-an-iframe did make me a little squeamish (comment about "web 1.0"), but I can see how the ease of set up outweighs any sort of web 2.0 unofficial rule.

Thanks again,
Jeff

mkjones: In my experience, in much better to focus on delivering the best product to the client instead of worrying whether it's the hottest Web 2.0 gadget. Wufoo is, by far, the easiest, most useful way to let a client create and manage web forms on the fly so that's what I offer.

Jerad Hill: Thanks for that catch! I added it and gave you the credit.

You did leave out one important note. You have to go to the page you created in WP and change the Page Attributes to point to your new Lead Generation Page.
